STROFILIA
We are a local family from Markopoulo Mesogeas, passionate about offering authentic Greek hospitality. Our guest houses reflect our roots — simple, warm, and full of love for tradition and comfort.
We believe travel is about feeling at home — even when you’re far from it. Whether you're here for a short visit or a longer stay, we’ll make sure you feel like part of our extended family.
We named our guest house "Strofilia" after the old-fashioned wine press that once brought families together during the grape harvest in Markopoulo.
It’s a small tribute to the traditions, hard work, and warmth of our land. Just like the strofilia gently pressed out every drop of grape juice, we hope our home offers you every bit of comfort and care during your stay.

MARKOPOULO
A GLIMPSE INTO MARKOPOULO MESOGEAS
Markopoulo Mesogeas is a historic town in eastern Attica, known for its ancient roots and connection to both land and sea. Just 10 minutes from Athens International Airport and 30 minutes from the center of Athens, it offers a tranquil countryside experience without leaving the convenience of the city behind.
Historically, the town traces its origins back to ancient times, with archaeological sites, Byzantine churches, and long-standing agricultural traditions — especially in viticulture and olive oil production. Today, it’s a growing community that combines tradition with modern life. Visitors can enjoy local wineries, festivals, and nearby beaches like Porto Rafti or Vravrona.
